
The vision of Youth for Christ is, in partnership with the body of Christ, to see every young person in every people group in every nation have the opportunity to make an informed decision to become a follower of Jesus Christ and to become a part of a local church.
Mission Statement
The mission of Youth for Christ is to participate in the body of Christ in responsible evangelism of youth, presenting them with the person, work and teachings of Christ and discipling them into the local church.
Our Purpose – the reason we exist as an organization:
To win youth to Jesus Christ,
and disciple them
in the work of His kingdom.
Specific strategies and ministry priorities we believe the Lord is calling us to currently:
- Community EVANGELISM
- On-campus clubs
- Outreaches
- Hands-on training; specifically youth evangelistic training
- Events: Youth bands, games, and “off the beaten path” activities (small town events, adventures, etc.)
- Ministry through acts of Kindness
- Foster DISCIPLESHIP and GROWTH among saved youth
- Evangelistic training
- Discipleship
- MEET the NEEDS of local communities
- Use the “Area Ministry” structure to tailor our work to fit the needs of local towns, cities, and rural areas.
- Address youth-oriented needs such as:
- Teen pregnancy
- Dealing with divorce
- Suicide prevention / counseling
- Family crisis counseling / resourcing
- Youth Centers
- Safe “hang outs” where kids can see Jesus
- A place where youth can experience good, clean FUN
- A place to present the Gospel
- Serve as a RESOURCE for the Body of Christ, and be a catalyst of UNITY
- Sharing ministry opportunities
- Minister to youth pastors
- Network with youth pastors, and encourage cooperation among them
- Be a resource to churches (especially in youth / on-campus related things)
- Organize and support multi-church events
- Encourage the Body of Christ in ministry
- Grow the Tulare-Kings YFC Ministry
- Establish new Area Ministry Committees
- Fund raising activities, and church support
- Leadership training
- Networking and co-laboring with other ministries
